Become a Desrosiers Detective

The Case is Open. We need detectives.

Do you love mysteries, talking animals, dark humour, and stories where things aren't always quite what they seem?

I'm looking for a small team of enthusiastic readers to join Desrosiers Detectives, the official street team for S. Desrosiers Books and the Cynthia & Co. Mysteries.

As a Desrosiers Detective, you'll get the chance to be part of the books before they officially hit the shelves—and help spread the word when a new mystery is about to begin.

WHAT DOES A DESROSIERS DETECTIVE DO?

Your assignment may include:

🔎 Spread the word
Share book announcements, cover reveals, quotes, and other content on social media when something suspicious is afoot.

🌿 Build the buzz
Help introduce new readers to the world of Cynthia & Co. Mysteries.

📚 Read and review
When opportunities are available, receive advance copies and share your honest thoughts with other readers.

🐾 Follow the clues
Participate in polls, games, character introductions, behind-the-scenes content, and other activities.

🕵️ Recruit fellow detectives
Recommend the books to friends, fellow readers, book clubs, or anyone who looks like they might enjoy a good mystery.

WHAT YOU'LL GET

Desrosiers Detectives will get a behind-the-scenes look at upcoming books and the world of Cynthia & Co. Mysteries, including:

• Early access to selected announcements and reveals

• Opportunities to receive advance copies

• Exclusive behind-the-scenes content

• Street-team-only updates and surprises

• The occasional suspiciously important assignment

• Bragging rights when you discover something before everyone else

Most importantly, you'll be part of the team helping these books find their readers.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

You don't need to have thousands of followers or be a professional book reviewer.

I'm looking for genuine readers who love books and enjoy sharing them with others.

You might be a perfect fit if you:

• Love mysteries, cozy mysteries, or unusual genre blends

• Enjoy magical realism, dark humour, or talking animals

• Like discovering new authors

• Are active on social media or enjoy talking about books online

• Are comfortable sharing posts, recommendations, or book news

• Are enthusiastic, reliable, and willing to have a little fun with it

You don't need to do everything. There are no quotas, no sales targets, and no requirement to convince your entire neighbourhood to buy a book.

You just need to be a reader who enjoys spreading the word about books you genuinely love.

THE IMPORTANT STUFF

Desrosiers Detectives are never expected to leave a positive review in exchange for receiving a book or participating in the team.

If you receive an advance copy, your review must be honest and entirely your own. Positive reviews are wonderful. Critical reviews are okay too. The only requirement is that your opinion is genuine.

And, naturally, all classified information should be kept confidential until its official release.

Marty the cat would like to remind you that he is watching.

READY TO JOIN THE INVESTIGATION?

Fill out the application below and tell me a little about yourself, where you like to talk about books, and why you'd make an excellent Desrosiers Detective.

There are mysteries to solve, animals to interrogate, and several suspiciously convenient coincidences waiting to happen.
